This Project was a live brief set by Prospect 100 in collaboration with Round 21 to design a sports capsule. Many of my illustrations are inspired by artists who focus on human anatomy, such as Matisse and Kelly Anna. For this capsule, I illustrated the characters by drawing inspiration from Alva Skog’s use of exaggerated perspectives and Parra's’ simplistic characters and bold colour palettes. The character style is also heavily influenced by retro cartoons and hip-hop/streetwear fashion.
Basketball Net Mock-Up
I created this mock-up in Photoshop, starting with a rectangle and adding a drop shadow to form the backboard. I then removed the background from a stock image of a basketball net, applied a black colour overlay, and finished with a radial gradient background to create a spotlight effect, making the design a centred focal point.
